Blackpool Temperance Lodge BBQ raises £523
for 2010 Festival

The annual family BBQ of Blackpool Lodge of Temperance held at the St. Annes home of Sheldon and Jackie Rawstrone raised an impressive £523 in support of our 2010 Festival.

Games such as making a paper aeroplane and throwing it at a litre bottle of whisky proved very popular along with quizzes and guessing the number of Smarties in a jar.

Lots of raffle ticket prizes combined with a Westhoughton Raffle for a beautiful gateaux helped swell the funds.

Worshipful Master Craig Boyle assisted by his wife Kim praised the hosts Jackie and Sheldon for providing and making all the barbeque food and sweets.  He thanked Alastair Dunn for his skills in cooking the BBQ food and everyone for attending and contributing so generously.
