Blackpool Lodge of Temperance raises £475 for 2010 Festival

On Sunday 29 July 2007, Blackpool Temperance Lodge held its annual B-B-Q at W. Bro. Sheldon Rawstrone’s house in St. Annes.  
 A big thank you goes to his lovely wife Jackie in preparing and supplying all the food for this event.

The weather was glorious sunshine all afternoon and the atmosphere was buzzing with over 55 people in attendance.  Fund Raising Activities included a raffle, telling jokes for 50p, a guessing game, and making a paper plane fly the nearest to a bottle of whisky. The whisky was won by Bro Craig Boyle and this particular event raised £31.00 in no time at all.

Everybody enjoyed themselves and in total the money raised was £475.00 which will be donated to the 2010 Festival at the request of our hosts Jackie and Sheldon Rawstrone.

A big thank-you goes out to everybody who supported this event.
