Blackpool Group of Lodges

On the move with Mereside Lodge 6360.

Mereside Lodge moved from Poulton- le- Fylde to the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool. The move from Poulton was only a short distance with what was to follow, a visit to Tyrawley Lodge No. 217, in the Irish Constitution.

Three of the Brethren had arranged to travel by ferry from Holyhead. The Worshipful Master, due to work commitments would fly out from Manchester the next day.

The Worshipful Master of Mereside Lodge, Richard Gosling, noted that arrangements were very different. The Festive Board was held at the local hotel, before the Lodge opened, and after the Lodge closed they finished off with a buffet.

Richard added that during a conversation over a meat pie, the Provincial Grand Master and the Assistant Provincial Grand Master informed him that they make a point of visiting every Lodge in their Province

That said, the Province only has 6 Lodges.

Richard concluded by saying that the hospitality was outstanding and a return visit would be planned in the near year
