A Visit to Leinster Lodge in Dublin
On Wednesday 8th February 2006 -35 Brethren, some accompanied by their wives arrived at Blackpool Airport for a flight to Dublin to visit Leinster Lodge.
On arriving in Dublin the majority of the party made their way to Buswells, a 4* Hotel situated only 30 yards from the Lodge. The Brethrem assembled at 17.00 and were treated to a guided tour of the building which included the Museum which was very interesting.

Bro. Ian Smith, W.M of Emblem Lodge, Eric Waller, Grand Master of Ireland, W.Bro.
Nigel Tyney and W.Bro. Gordon Thomson
The Lodge was opened and we were treated to a demonstration second degree ceremony which again was very enjoyable.
At the festive board, which is not customary at Leinster Lodge, the English Brethren shred some of their traditions with W.Bro. George Holden at the piano, all joined hands in Harmony and Bro. Mick Fisher presented the Tyler's Toast in full

Bro Ian Smith, Bro. Ian Smith W.M.Emblem Lodge, and W.Bro. B.F. Sandall PAGDC
The Worshipful Master of Emblem Lodge, Bro Ian Smith responded on behalf of the visitors and presented Lienster Lodge Brethren with scale models of Blackpool Tower and a plaque from Blackpool Council suitably engraved. Presentations were made by Leinster Lodge in the form of framed photographs of the original meeting held on a barge together with a guide to fishing the waterways of Ireland.
An unexpected delight happened when R.W.Bro. Nigel Tyney introduced The Grand Master Eric Waller to the visitors.

W.Bro. W.T.Eardley, PAGDC, Chairman of the Blackpool Group of Lodges
The hospitality of the Irish Brethren was truly magnificent, needless to say the night lasted into the wee hours and the visit will be remembered for many a year.
It is hoped that the members of Leinster Lodge and their friends will visit Emblem Lodge in Blackpool in the very near future.
