Emblem Lodge No. 6727 -  The Talk of the Coast.

Emblem Lodge No. 6727, a member of the Blackpool Group of Lodges suffered a great loss, when of one of their members sadly passed away in Trinity Hospice, Blackpool.  So, Warren Plant, the Lodge Almoner decided to organise a Charity Evening to raise money for the Hospice in recognition for all their hard work.

Thursday the 8^th, July saw the accumulation of his organisational skills when the Talk of the Coast Cabaret Lounge in Blackpool was filled to capacity with Blackpool Masons, wives and friends.  The evening was compared throughout by the Talk of the Coast’s resident comic Buddy Lee, who introduced that well known stage and television comedian, Frank Carson, who entertained the audience with his special brand of humour.  Many of the local Blackpool business men had donated some very special Raffle prizes, including a Disney painting, which was auctioned off, helping to raise on the evening a spectacular sum of £1000-00p

The event was attended by Jane Molyneux, Director of Fund Raising for Trinity Hospice who assisted with the prize giving.  Jane concluded the evening by thanking Warren, the members of Emblem Lodge and the Masons of Blackpool for their wonderful support.
