W.Bro. Bryan Caswell marries in Canada
W.Bro. Bryan Caswell, a member of New Sanctuary Lodge No 6604 where he was Secretary for 13 years, a member of Senatores Lodge of Installed Masters No 8966 where he was Almoner for 4 years and Past Z of Norcliffe Chapter No 7371, married in Kanata in the Province of Ontario Canada on Saturday 25th August 2007
Bryan and his new wife Marilyn met on the Internet whilst Bryan was watching a game of backgammon. He was offering her encouragement but the comments were not well received by Marilyn, whose first communication with Bryan was “Who the hell are you!! Don’t bug me”.
This did not deter Bryan and soon they were communicating via the Web with the aid of Web Cams. After 1 year Bryan decided to visit Canada and meet Marilyn. Both were very apprehensive ,but all went well and their relationship flourished. After a few visits to England by Marilyn and Bryan to Canada, they decided that it would be better if Bryan moved to Canada which he did in December 2005.
On 6th May 2006 Bryan popped the question and on 25th August 2007 at 3.00 pm Bryan and Marilyn were married at Cabotto’s Italian Restaurant in Kanata. The service was carried out by Rev E Richter who married one of Marilyn’s daughter some years previously.
Bryan’s mother, sister and brother-in-law flew over for the wedding and were joined by Marilyn’s two daughters and their husbands, her two sisters and their husbands and her mother. It was a very enjoyable time for both families and a memorable day for the newly weds.
