2010 Celebration

A special evening of celebration.

Monday, 29^th, March, 2010, this date will go down as a mile stone in the Blackpool Group’s history.

At the bi-annual dinner hosted by the Blackpool Group of Lodges the brethren were honoured by the attendance of the P.G.M. Peter Hosker 

During his response at the Festive Board he made reference to the 2010 festival and the possible final sum which would be announced in May at the Provincial Meeting in the Guild Hall, Preston.

The P.G.M. then asked W.Bro. Gordon Thompson the Blackpool Group Charity Officer to approach the top table.

W.Bro Thompson was then presented with a framed certificate signed by the P.G.M.

This certificate was in recognition of the fantastic sum of money raised by the Blackpool Group of Lodges for the 2010 festival - an astounding £250,000.

The P.G.M. then informed the meeting that three such certificates had already been presented along the Fylde Coast.

He concluded by thanking the brethren of the Fylde for their generosity.
